Alright, so this week I have to pay for rent for February and for our plane tickets. Not sure if I mentioned this yet, but Kris is turning 30 this year in April- and we're doing Dirty Thirty in Las Vegas! Yeah, believe it or not, its happening. We have so little money right now, but this has always been kind of a dream for Kris and I couldnt let him go on to 30 without being with all our best friends in Vegas. My brother and his girlfriend have gotten a suite for us all to stay in- THANKS! So I just have to pay for the plane tickets. But ooooh! are they expensive. Its going to be about $400, coming from me alone. Its just about all I can get Kris for his birthday. If I hadnt started working extra hours this month I woulndt have been able to pay rent at all- but as it is this chunk of change is pretty much taking all the extra money I've made this month. Oh well, its worth it for my babe.
So anyways, when I get paid Friday I'll cough up the $400 and then no more big expenses!! I've gotta work, work, work- and save, save, save! I just hope we can make ends meet until this summer... Thoughts about money like this kept me up last night... it sometimes feel like I'll have a panic attack... how are we going to do this?!*sigh*
But we'll make it through somehow. And honestly, theres some fat yet to be trimmed from our spending. I'm figuring it out as we go.
I took a good look at my spending for January. I personally spent almost $200 on food last month, half of that was non-grocery, so mostly fast food. My goal for next month is to chop that cost down by $50- and having Kris pay for everything doesnt count. It'll be hard to keep track of that. But spending more money at the grocery store on fresh foods will help with our next goal:
Lose weight for Vegas! Alright, so I've already been on the path of getting healthier, thats not news. But it seems like lately my weight has hit a plateau- the 130lb. mark. So my goal, by the end of April, is to break below that mark and maintain it. Kris' goal is to fit back into a suit he bought almost 5 years ago. He figured out he needs to lose 3 inches around his waist (he's not concentrating on a weight, just size). So far (the past few days) Kris hasnt seemed too willing to change his diet, though I think he as exercised. Maybe we both need some motivation to concentrate on... Kris mentioned hanging his suit somewhere he'll see it every day. I like that idea!Anyways, I'll keep working on getting him to eat healthier, and exercise more. And for me... I need to get out of m comfort zone! I need to get serious about working out (especially my upper body) and I need to tighten up my diet a bit.
So theres a good update. Tomorrow I have work and then Animation History class- which was TOTALLY boring last week....
I so know the feeling you're talking about with trying to pay for everything... my husband and I are living on a student budget right now after both working professional jobs for five years and it's such an adjustment! Everything will work out in the end, though :) Have an amazing time in Vegas!

Thanks for the comment Cee! And thanks for the support. I know somehow we'll get through tough times- I always tell Kris that one day we'll look back at these years and laugh.
